My Dream Bedroom

Since moving into our house in November 2012, we have only managed to decorate our living room. Next on the agenda is our bedroom. However, I am going to get a painter and decorator to do the hard work as I'm lazy! Seriously, it took us so long to do the living room ourselves and we absolutely hated the prepping and cleaning up afterwards.

We don't have the space, or the money, to be able to decorate our bedroom like this but as I said it is my dream bedroom. I love French style furniture with a romantic touch. I'm not sure Rory would approve of how girly this is but I don't care, I gave him the spare room as a man cave so I should be able to decorate the bedroom how I like!

Obviously the bed is the most important feature of a bedroom as you spend most time sleeping in there! I saw this one on Chaise Longue Boutique and I fell in love with all the detail on the bed and it is truly beautiful. I have chosen all the other furniture and accessories to match the bed as that would be the main focus of the room. I think the bedside tables match perfectly and provide extra storage for your bedtime beauty essentials like night cream and can also house your favourite night time reads; books and magazines. The flowers give it that extra feminine touch and make the room more homely. Ever since staying in a boutique B&B in the Lake District where they had a chaise longue at the foot of the bed, I have wanted my own. This one is perfect as it fits in with the overall theme.

No bedroom of a beauty blogger would be complete without a 'vanity' area. I already have a dressing table in this style for a fraction of the price from IKEA, however, if money was no object, I would definitely buy one that had more detail. This one is perfect and even has a matching stool to suit my romantic theme. At the moment, every beauty blogger appears to have the ALEX drawers from IKEA to store all their make up. I think these drawers are a grown up answer to the ALEX drawers and would look perfect next to the dressing table. The lamp, which is from Next, is beautiful and will provide that bit of light needed to apply my make up.

Obviously, I also need somewhere to get dressed! I would love a walk in wardrobe, Carrie Bradshaw style in the movie, but as we live in a two bedroomed house, this is not possible. Therefore I would turn an area of the room into a dressing area, probably next to the vanity area. Currently we have fitted wardrobes but they take up so much room and I would love to be able to rip them out! This wardrobe and chest of drawers would provide me with enough storage to house all the current season and I would use the loft to store other clothes and accessories. Obviously I would need a full length mirror to see my outfit in all its glory!

I love reading and I wish I had the opportunity to read more. If I had my own reading corner, I would definitely find more time to sit down and read my favourite novels and magazines. This bookcase is beautiful and would look stunning filled with all my books. The lamp and mirror would provide extra light in the reading area and obviously I need a chair to sit on. This armchair is the perfect size to fit in the corner of my bedroom (or I could choose to read on the chaise longue!)

There we have it, my dream bedroom. When we get around to purchasing furniture for our bedroom, I will definitely consider Chaise Longue Boutique as they sell some of the most beautiful bedroom furniture I have ever seen. They also sell dining room and living room furniture if you are looking to decorate other rooms in your house.

What do you think of my dream bedroom? Have you ever thought about your dream bedroom?
