November Empties

Liz Earle Botanical Shine Shampoo & Liz Earle Botanical Shine Conditioner (for dry or damaged hair) - This is possibly my favourite shampoo and conditioner that I have tried to date. There are no nasties, they smell nice, my hair feels clean (but not squeaky clean) afterwards, my hair is conditioned and free from tangles. It's the second time I have purchased the duo and I will purchase them again once I have used up others that I have. I have a full review, which goes into more detail, here

Dove Hair Nourishing Oil Care Repair Mask - This mask helped to condition my hair as it is very dry but I wasn't amazed. It contains sulphates and some other nasty ingredients so I was tempted to just throw it away or give it away but I finished it anyway. It smelt lovely but I'd prefer clean ingredients over a scent. Therefore, I won't be purchasing it again.

Simple Eye Make-Up Remover - I've lost count of how many bottles of this I've gone through in the years but it's a lot! I actually have a spare in my drawer for when my current one runs out. I used to use it to remove all my make up but these days, I just use it to remove eye make up as I use a Micellar water to remove the rest of my make up before cleansing.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser - This is a smaller sized pump that I received from Liz Earle when I ordered a lot of products. I think it was to say thank you or something. I saved it for a while as it's the perfect size for travelling and I actually took it to Ireland with me in August. Once I was home and I had finished my normal sized C&P, I finished this one off so it didn't go off before the next time I travelled. I won't go into any details about the product as I have mentioned it many many times on my blog and you can read my full review here

Impulse Tease Body Spray - There's not much I can say about this body spray that I haven't already said. It's great to throw in your handbag and I use it at work so my beautiful perfumes aren't wasted on those snotty children! I love the scent, it's definitely my favourite Impulse scent. What's your favourite Impulse scent?

Origins Super Spot Remover - I bought this about a year ago and even though the bottle is tiny, it lasts a long time. At first, I was using it every morning and evening and it was hardly going down. To be honest, I didn't notice much difference with my spots. It definitely didn't remove any of mine. I know people  love this product but it's just not for me. I just used it to finish it off in the past few months.

Collection Illuminating Touch Concealer - This is my under eye concealer as it does a great job of disguising dark circles. It's quite liquidy but this makes it easy to blend and doesn't create dragging. I'm not sure it particularly lasts all day but at £4, I can't complain! Which concealer do you use under your eyes?

Collection Colour Lash Clear Mascara - I use this as my brow mascara. It's super dirty! I've just stocked up on the 3 for 2 in Boots and I plan on just using one for two months before opening a new one. Because I can see how dirty it gets in the packaging, I don't want to use it on my brows for much longer! It's only £1.99 and even though there are probably better brow products out there, this does the job and I don't mind throwing it away after 2 months.

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait - I think this may be the first 'lipstick' I've ever finished. I know it technically isn't a lipstick but it's the first lip product in a bullet form that I've finished. I've actually already repurchased this along with Cotton Candy. I love lip butters as they are easy to apply and the colours I have are perfect for everyday wear.

Which products have you used up this month? Have you been loving any of these products?

Week 47

60,000 views! WOW! Thank you :) // Terry's Chocolate Orange Ice Cream // The Body Shop Christmas Gift Sets // The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in IMAX // Catching Fire is awesome! // First time I've painted my nails in ages // Barry M Magnetic Nail Polish // Cheekily ordered Latest In Beauty: The Glamour Beauty Edit for myself! // Homemade fajitas

Hi Lovelies,

Wow! This week, I reached 60,000 views! That is unbelievable. I love my blog and the whole blogging experience. I want to say another massive thank you to every single person that has read my blog. It means so much to me and honestly makes me so happy when I get a new follower or a new comment. Thank you!

On Friday evening, I went to see Catching Fire with my sister. We pre booked our tickets online and went for the brand new IMAX screen. It was expensive for one ticket but it made the experience so much better. The whole film was amazing and the arena scenes were incredible on such a huge, high quality screen. My sister is going to see it again on Wednesday and to be honest, I'm pretty jealous! I have Zumba though and I'm going to be good and do exercise instead of sitting on my arse!

What have you been up to this week?

Christmas at The Body Shop

The Body Shop have some amazing products and gift sets this year. I have a mammoth post going live in December with many more featured of all different price ranges. To be honest, it would be easy to go into The Body Shop and buy everyone's Christmas present but I want them all for myself instead! Any gift from The Body Shop is a great gift and by buying a Christmas gift this year, you are contributing towards building five new schools around the world.

How cute is this tin?! I'm thinking of storing Christmas bows, ribbons and gift tags in it. The gift set includes Shea Body Butter (200ml) and Shea Body Scrub (50ml). I adore the scent and I have used the Shea range before. The body butter is super moisturising and quickly sinks into your skin without leaving a greasy residue. It contains shea butter and cocoa butter from Ghana, and organic babassu oil from Brazil. The body scrub is a sugar scrub. I find it a little bit harsh but if used gently, it's a good exfoliant.

Ginger Sparkle is a limited edition Christmas scent and although it was available last year, it's a new scent to me. I absolutely love it; it's the perfect Christmas scent. The spicy ginger scent reminds me of gingerbread - a perfect, traditional Christmas treat. This duo would make a perfect secret santa present or a great stocking filler. It includes Ginger Sparkle Hand Cream (30ml) and a cute nail file with gingerbread men on.

Have you got your eye on any gifts from The Body Shop? Have any made your wish list?

Week 46

McBusted Tour! // Delicious Thai Fish Cakes // Christmas Wish List // Christmas decorations! // Got my tickets for McBusted!!! // Popcorn // I found Rudolph! // Strawberry milkshake // Pancakes

Hi Lovelies,

Phew! What a week. A hospital visit and a funeral in one week. I've been to three funerals now and I wouldn't wish them on anyone. It was a lovely send off and a chance to say goodbye but it's sad when  that goodbye is too soon. Everything's ok regarding the hospital; I'm just trying to get to the bottom of all my headaches but it seemed like a pointless appointment to be honest.

A few of you may be aware but if not, I am a massive McFly fan. I have been for 10 years now and I always will be. I'm sure you've all heard of McBusted by now if not, have you been hiding under a rock?! On Wednesday and Thursday, there were presales but I didn't manage to get tickets. Then tickets went on general sale on Friday and I still didn't manage to get tickets. It wasn't until a third Manchester date was announced that I managed to get two tickets! Ticket buying stresses me out and I was getting really annoyed that I wouldn't be able to go. I've been to every single McFly tour and I was not willing to miss this one. Thank goodness, I have tickets!

TGI Friday's Live Art and Cocktail Evening

Image from TGI Friday's
Last Thursday, I was invited to attend a fabulous event at TGI Friday's in Manchester. There are two restaurants in Manchester; Trafford Centre and Royal Exchange, which was where this event was held. When an email landed in my inbox, I was super excited. The event sounded amazing and I love TGI Friday's. Very kindly, I was allowed to bring a +1, my sister was the lucky lady chosen.

Arriving at 6pm, we were briefed on the event and the different things happening on the night. We were also handed a voucher which entitled us to three complimentary cocktails. On the night, three cocktails were being showcased; Popping Candy Strawberry Margarita, Passionate Rose and Lemon Meringue Pie. We decided to share cocktails, that way we could try six different ones! We chose Popping Candy Strawberry Margarita, Cherry Stag, Jack Southern Belle, Lemon Meringue Pie, Canada Goose and Umpa Lumpa.

The fabulous event was organised by Telegraph Hill. Project Producer Tom Harvey said "We didn't just want to stage another blogger event, where people turn up and may not write about what they've seen. We wanted to really engage our attendees and representing the cocktails as pieces of art is how we decided to do it." It was obvious how much thought and effort had gone into making the event a success. In my eyes, it was a massive success and probably the best event I have ever been to.

The main idea behind the event was to celebrate the new cocktail menu, which is being showcased as 100 unique works of art. Three amazingly talented Manchester based artists were invited to transform the three cocktails into artwork, inspired by the colours, flavours and origins.

Erin Echo was responsible for representing Popping Candy Strawberry Margarita. She chose Polaroids as her choice of media; creating a fantastic piece of art representing a giant cocktail glass. She also very kindly created our very own works of art to take home - a Polaroid portrait based on our twitter profile picture.

Millie Connors, an amazing textile artist created a Lemon Meringue Pie made of felt! She also held a mini master class on the night to create and take home our very own slice of lemon meringue. As I am only a beginner sewer, Millie helped me quite a lot! Thank you! But I did half of the sewing and I'm pretty proud of my efforts.

My masterpiece!

Caroline Dowsett was hard at work all night creating a romantic portrait inspired by the cocktail Passionate Rose. She created her own love story depicting two lovers falling for each other over a Passionate Rose cocktail.

During the night, we also had the opportunity to try some of the dishes from the new tapas menu. Every single one that I tried was delicious and I cannot wait until my next trip to TGI Friday's to taste more! Some of the delicious dishes we tried were; BBQ Houmous & Dips, Chicken Skewers & Jack Daniels Glaze, Meatball Sliders, Sam Adams Chili Cheese Dip & Pretzels, Taquito Bites and Jack Daniels Cajun Battered Shrimp with Jack Daniels Glaze. In my opinion, the tapas menu is great quality for money - 3 dishes for £12.99 or 5 dishes for £19.99 - perfect to share with friends.

I had such a lovely evening with my sister. Thank you so much to TGI Friday's Manchester Royal Exchange and Telegraph Hill for creating a memorable night. I cannot wait for my next visit!

Are you a fan of TGI Friday's? What's your favourite cocktail?

Christmas Wish List

Can you believe how close Christmas actually is?! Only 42 sleeps away! Personally, I love Christmas and I cannot wait to put our tree up and decorate our house on the 1st December! I put together this mini wish list of things I am currently lusting after and I would love to receive any of them from Father Christmas. Perhaps the handbag may be wishful thinking, after all, we are getting married next year!

Christmas Wish List

1. Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede cologne £39 - The first time I smelt this beautiful perfume was at Vogue's Fashion Night Out in Manchester. Everytime I'm near a Jo Malone counter, I can't help but have a spray. I decided a long time ago that I was having Peonies in my bridal bouquet so this is the perfect scent for my wedding day. Also, when I'm married my surname will be Maloney! It's meant to be if you ask me!

2. Mulberry Bayswater natural leather handbag £895 - I have been lusting after a Mulberry handbag for years but I'm still undecided whether to go for tan or black. I'd love one of each, haha. Because we're saving for our wedding, I'm pretty sure I will continue to lust after my very own Mulberry for a few years!

3. Liz Earle Botanical Shine Nourishing Hair Oil £15 - I recently started using Liz Earle Shampoo and Conditioner, which I love, so this is the natural progression. To be honest, it's either this or Moroccanoil as I have been using a sample sized bottle of this for a few weeks and I love it!

4. Soap & Glory The Yule Monty Gift Set £60 - I got the Soap & Glory Best Of gift set last year from my parents. Well I forced my mum to get it for me when I spotted it for £30 in Boots. I am going to hopefully get it for half price again this year! I love Boots!

5. Michael Kors MK5128 Watch £180 - I think Michael Kors watches are beautiful and The Watch Hut have such great prices. Again I'm undecided whether to get gold, silver or rose gold. I think I'd have to try all three on and see which suits my skintone best. I don't actually own any rose gold jewellery but it is gorgeous. Maybe Father Christmas can help me decide...

What's on your Christmas Wish List? Have you got your eyes on any similar products?

Week 45

My new Casio watch // TGI Fridays blogger event // Posing in an Instagram frame // Delicious cocktails // Amazing polaroid portrait by Erin Echo // Crazy hailstone // ESPA Essential Cleansing Mask // Remembrance Sunday // Blogging

Hi Lovelies,

I can't believe how close we are to Christmas! I haven't started my Christmas shopping yet and all the Christmas adverts have started popping up on TV. The Coca Cola ad has been on so I'm officially on countdown now! Have you started your Christmas shopping? I cannot wait to get my tree decorated and get in the festive spirit!

On Thursday, I attended an amazing event at TGI Fridays. I'm planning on writing up a blog post about the event so look out for that this week. I managed to take my sister along with me and we had such an awesome evening. I even got a little bit tipsy!

We also experienced a seriously wintery day on Saturday. We had crazy hailstone, it was bigger than peas! Afterwards everything was white and it looked like it had snowed! We also had thunder and lightning. Did anybody else get this crazy weather? Sunday, however, was lovely. It was really sunny with blue skies but it was cold.

What have you been up to this week?

Lost In Time

Recently, I was sent this beautiful, vintage silver Casio watch from The Watch Hut. It has been on my wrist everyday since as it's perfect for Autumn with it's rich burgundy face. The Casio Mini Ladies Silver Tone Digital Watch is currently on sale for £24.75 which is 10% cheaper than the RRP. It features a digital display, which is actually the very first digital watch I've ever owned. Along with this it includes a calendar, stopwatch and an alarm. The alarm is easy to set as well as turn off and features a generic alarm tone which is inoffensive.

I have very slim wrists which often means I have to remove links in watch straps or even get my dad to drill an additional hole. The great thing about this watch is that it's self adjustable. This makes it a perfect gift for Christmas as you don't need to know their wrist size beforehand. They can wear the watch straight away after easily adjusting it to fit their wrist. I also love how dainty the watch is. Often watches these days can have a big face which looks silly on my slim wrists. This is perfectly feminine.

Another positive about this watch is that it is very easy to use. I haven't needed the instruction booklet to set the time, date or alarm. However, if you are not as confident, the watch comes with an instruction book along with a two year guarantee. The watch is water resistant, this means it doesn't have to be removed when washing hands as a splash wouldn't do it any harm. However, it isn't suitable to be submerged in water so you wouldn't be able to shower or swim in the watch.

I love the retro feel this watch has and it reminds me of the 90s. Someone at work even commented "wow, I haven't seen a watch like that for years!" Not everyone has a watch like this and sometimes it's nice to be different. I can't wait to apply burgundy nail polish and colour coordinate my outfit!

Which style of watch do you prefer? Have you ever owned a Casio?

Week 44

Finally getting my colour re-done! // Halloween Babybel // Delicious dinner // My Monday night... // Decorating // Happy Halloween! // It wouldn't be Halloween without Thriller //Sweets for trick or treaters // Hocus Pocus - the best Halloween film ever! // Beautiful wallpaper // Revlon Lip Butters // Father Christmas!!! // Chocolate Fudge Cake // Fireworks // Nuxe Reve de Miel = miracle product!

Hi Lovelies,

Phew! What a week! I was off work this week as it was half term. Oh how I love working in a school! However, there was no rest for me as I decided to decorate our bedroom (along with other jobs but I ran out of time!) I also went to the hairdressers. Not once, bit twice! Two different hairdressers I must add. I had my colour done at one and my cut done at another. Crazy!

I've had such a rubbish month on the blogging front. I lost my camera lead so although I was still taking lots of photos, I couldn't put them on the computer. It was really annoying me and we were going to see if we could buy another one. It was only last night during #bbloggers chat, that I discovered Rory had a memory card slot on his laptop! I never thought of looking for one to be honest. My old laptop didn't have one and I've never used one before but I have finally managed to put my pictures on the laptop! Therefore, you can expect lots of long overdue blog posts from me!

I also finally purchased daylight bulbs! I've lost track of how long I've been saying I will get some for but they are on their way to me! Yay! Hopefully I will be able to take photographs when I get home from work now because it's dark when I get home. Depressing! I'll keep you updated.

What have you been up to this week?

Revlon Lip Butter in Cotton Candy - Review

(apologies for the blurriness, I only have this one photo)

I dislike this phrase but here goes anyway; 'sorry I'm not sorry' for posting 8 pictures of the same thing! I photographed the two lip butters together but then realised I had already blogged about Peach Parfait back in February so I photographed Cotton Candy on its own. I didn't want to disregard the photos completely because I thought the products looked beautiful together and decided to include them anyway.

As I have already reviewed Peach Parfait, I will just be focusing on Cotton Candy in this review. As with all the shades, Cotton Candy is beautifully packaged in a quilted design which matches the shade of the lip butter. This gives the high street product a luxurious feel and is also practical, allowing you to easily select the shade you're after.

Cotton Candy is a warm toned pale pink, which is my perfect everyday lip shade. It has tiny gold particles of glitter, but this isn't as obvious as Peach Parfait and I barely notice them on my lips. As with all the shades in the range, Cotton Candy is moisturising and glides onto the lips smoothly. It's so easy to reapply on the go without the need of a mirror.

In essence, this is a posh lip balm with a little bit more pigmentation. The RRP is £7.99 but there are often deals on in stores like Boots or Superdrug. I think it was two for £10 when I purchased Cotton Candy and repurchased Peach Parfait. I'm pretty sure Boots currently have their amazing 3 for 2 offer on! What are you waiting for? Three lip butters for the price of two! Amazing!
