FREE Percy & Reed Hair Products with Glamour Magazine

I have to share this with you all! Yesterday I received the latest issue of Glamour Magazine and I received the Really Rather Radiant Colour and Shine Shampoo FREE. Apparently, this one is worth £10 for 100ml of product. Although you can get 250ml online for £14?! Even though this doesn't seem to tally up in my head, you are getting a hair care product for the price of a magazine - £2. I have a magazine subscription but it should be in shops on 4th March.

Glamour Magazine have four different products to choose from; Really Rather Radiant Colour and Shine Shampoo, Really Rather Radiant Colour and Shine Conditioner, Quite Frankly Flawless Finishing Polish and  Smooth, Sealed and Sensational Volumising No Oil, Oil (For Fine Hair). Even though I have thick hair, I am thinking of buying another 3 magazines so I have all four products. Therefore I will have spent £8 on £41 worth of products! BARGAIN!

Will you be getting your hands on a copy of Glamour Magazine or three?! Do you know of any other magazine freebies out now?

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey - Review

I can't even remember when I bought this. I think it was in Autumn! I cannot believe I haven't reviewed it yet. Perhaps it's because I still haven't made my mind up yet. I admit that I bought this product because of the hype and it wasn't even that hyped about! Plus, I wanted a Revlon Lip Butter and Revlon products were on offer so I picked this up too! Why not?! I chose the shade Honey as it was the lightest shade and the shade that I though would suit me the most.

Revlon describe these as 'a pampering balm fused with a lightweight lipstain in an adorable chubby crayon'. They are designed to give 'softer, smoother lips with a perfect flush of colour that lasts hour after hour'. I would have to agree and say they left my lips soft and moisturised. I was quite surprised actually as the crayon is quite hard but it's still packed with moisture. When first applied, I love the colour and shine that is left on my lips. However, after an hour or so when I look in the mirror the colour has changed slightly. I can't really describe it. It can't only be me, surely? But at first I like the shade and it suits my skin tone but an hour later it doesn't suit my skin tone?!

On first application, the balm stain has a menthol scent, which is slightly strange but refreshing in a way. If you're not a fan of this scent, it wears away after several minutes. I love how the crayon is twistable meaning no sharpener is needed. Making this product fuss free and mess free. For £7.99, I would say these are slightly expensive for a drugstore brand as you only get 2.7g worth of product. However, I reckon it will last a while.

This is the only shade I have. The Boots website says there are 12 shades to choose from but they only list 7. I'm not sure if that's because the others have sold out or we don't have them in the UK. I would like to try some different shades as I love the formula but I'm not sure Honey is for me.

Have you tried the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains? Which shades do you recommend?

Week 8

Statement necklace, Cadbury Egg 'n' Spoon, My new Fiorelli handbag, Nando's, Cool sinks at Nando's, Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body Milk, Making a fruit salad, The finished product.

Hello everyone!

Firstly, I have to apologise for not uploading this yesterday. I got home from work and I was so tired that I fell asleep on the couch! I'm not sure how many of you are aware that I am a Brownie leader but I woke up and was supposed to be an Brownies in 10 minutes time! Oops! Secondly, this week has been fairly quiet. We've not really done much besides going to B&Q (how exciting!?) and Nando's on Saturday. Each time I go to Nando's, which is fairly regular as the fiancé is obsessed, I always order the same thing! Why fix something that isn't broken?! Exciting news though, my giveaway ended last night so once this post has been published, I'm checking all the entries and I'm going to be selecting a winner via Random.org. I have enjoyed holding a giveaway on my blog and Rafflecopter makes it so easy. I think I will hold another one, if I reach 500 followers! I'm still in shock that I have 171 followers. It makes me super super happy that so many of you want to read my blog.

If you have Instagram, my username is lostinlipstick. If you follow me be sure to leave your username and I will check yours out.

What have you been up to this week?

My Haircare Routine - Shampoo

This is going to be a three part post - shampoo, conditioner and then after care/treatments. I love reading haircare/skincare posts so I thought I would share my routines and the products I use. First up is shampoo. I'm not loyal to a particular brand as I haven't found a miracle shampoo just yet. There are currently seven shampoos in my 'collection'. Is seven a bit excessive? They all have different jobs, well mostly, so I feel like they are justified! They are in no particular order. I photographed them in height order (roughly!). My hair is pretty dry and damaged from years of heat and colour. It's naturally curly and very frizzy but I often wear it straight.

Keratin Complex Keratin Color Care Shampoo - This is almost empty. I'll probably get one or two more uses out of it. My mum got me the shampoo and conditioner last Christmas. They've lasted because I have so many other shampoos and I've tried to make it last as long as possible. This shampoo is sodium chloride and sulphate free, so no nasties are being put on your hair! I think it has quite a weird scent to it that I'm not so keen on. But it does leave my hair feeling super smooth and nourished.
Edit: Since writing this I have finished all of the shampoo!

Herbal Essences Smooth & Soft Shampoo - I think I picked this up in Boots because it was on offer, I can't remember though. I have used this shampoo before and I think it's quite good for the price. It's for dry, damaged and frizzy hair, which are the three words I would use to describe my hair! I don't have the money to use high end haircare products every time I wash my hair, so I use drugstore brands in between. This has a lovely fruity smell and leaves my hair feeling clean and fairly conditioned. Some shampoos make my hair feel really dry and knotty but this is quite moisturising for a shampoo.

Paul Mitchell Strength Super Strong Daily Shampoo - My parents seem to like buying me hair products for Christmas as this was in a set I received this year! I absolutely love this range. It makes my hair feel nourished and I have actually noticed a difference in the strength. I wouldn't describe it as 'Super Strong' just yet, but I have noticed less breakage. I have been finding I need quite a bit of both the shampoo and conditioner though, which is not good! I don't think they will last a lot longer. They leave my hair feeling soft, silky and shiny! It's like looking at someone else's hair!

Tresemme Deep Cleansing Shampoo - I use this shampoo once a week, usually on a Sunday, as my detox shampoo. I can't afford Bumble & Bumble Sunday Shampoo but I would love to try it out. Until then, this is a cheap alternative. My hair can sometimes feel heavy from build up as I do use quite a few products and this is great at thoroughly cleansing my hair. I like having freshly washed and 'squeaky' clean hair on a Monday. I do find it leaves my hair a little 'squeaky' but once I have applied conditioner I don't have a problem.

Trevor Sorbie Beautifully Straightened Protection Shampoo - I picked this up just after Christmas in a set for £7 but I actually used Boots points so I got it for free! However, it wasn't till I got home that I noticed the shampoo was for fine/normal hair, which is the complete opposite of mine! It doesn't moisturise my hair and it actually makes my hair feel dry but it cleanses it so I use a hair mask when using this shampoo. I don't really have anything else to say about this. I would like to try the version for thick hair though.

Avon Advance Techniques Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo - This a fantastic product from AVON. I prefer it over other shampoo products from AVON. However, I much prefer the oil and mask from this range (more to come on these when I discuss the treatments that I use.) After just one use of this range my hair felt amazing. However, each time I've used it since, it just doesn't feel the same. Maybe in the long run I will notice a difference. This is my second bottle but I'm not sure I will purchase it again.

Pro:Voke Touch Of Silver Twice A Week Brightening Shampoo - Even though it's called twice a week brightening shampoo, I only use it once a week as I don't wash my hair enough times in the week to use it twice. That might sound disgusting to some people but my hair is very dry and I only wash it when it's greasy, which is usually 3 times a week. If I wash it any more, my hair would just be in worse condition. I use this shampoo along with the conditioner to keep my colour fresh so it doesn't appear brassy. I have noticed a slight improvement but there has been weeks where I've forgot and I desperately need to do my roots. I say roots but it'll look like I've had Ombre done soon!

How many shampoos do you own in your 'collection'? Do you recommend any shampoo based on my hair type?

London Fashion Week AW13 Topshop Unique

I'll be honest - half of the looks featured in this show, I wasn't a fan of. However the six posted below, I really liked. Monochrome was featured but in prints which featured at least one other colour. This was a welcome change as all the shows I had seen were massive on contrasting black and white in their looks. All the looks included below have at least two different textures thrown together. I love mixing textures, it creates an edgy look. It's something I want to wear more of in Autumn/Winter 2013.

London Fashion Week AW13 Moschino Cheap & Chic

I couldn't find this show online to watch but I was able to view the pictures on Vogue. This was another show where monochrome was a big focus. Leopard print and pink were also massive influences in the designs. Who doesn't love leopard print and pink?! I LOVE the graffiti print but what I especially love was how it was dressed up and would be acceptable for evening wear. Here are my six favourite looks.

Week 7

Reaching 10,000 views on my blog! (thank you!), Having 150 followers (double thank you!), Hair turbans from Primark with added sparkle, Challenging myself to only use 5 products but I used 6!, Ingredients for pancakes!, Pancakes, More snow!!!, Primark in Selfridges - the greatest idea ever!, Victoria's Secret is coming, Sleek Face Form, Beautiful Valentines Day flowers, Krispy Kreme, Valentines Day cupcake, Giant Lindt bunny (if only this was made of chocolate!).

Hello everyone!

I hope you had an amazing week. I was off work this week as it was half term. I love half term! But I was still a little bit ill at the beginning of the week. I'm feeling a lot better now however this cough is still driving me insane! I reached 10,000 views and 150 followers on my blog last Sunday, which I think is amazing. I want to thank each and everyone of you. It makes me crazily happy when I see that I have a new follower or I have a new comment. I have a few more photos than normal this week and this was controlled. As it was Pancake Day and Valentines Day, I got slightly excited and snap happy! On Tuesday, I went to The Trafford Centre. I finally visited Primark in Selfridges. I was blown away! You would never have guessed you were in Primark. The clothes were set out beautifully, the store was tidy with no clothes on the floor and they wasn't millions of clothes to choose from. I think they choose some of the better items or maybe most popular items and put them together. The last few times that I've been to Primark in Manchester, I've always been a little overwhelmed with the amount of items they sell. I can never find clothes I like and to be honest sometimes I can't be bothered looking. Honestly though, in Selfridges it was a pleasure. I even came home with three items of clothes and no jewellery!! I also finally managed to get my hands on the Sleek Blush and Contour kit! I have been trying to buy it for weeks but Superdrug was always sold out! But on Tuesday, I picked up the last one! That is so satisfying when that happens. Valentines Day was lovely this year. It was our first one together in our own house. On Thursday I cooked us a candle lit meal and on Saturday he took me to an Italian restaurant. We were greedy and celebrated twice! I received some beautiful flowers. I hope they last a while. I hope you all had a great Pancake Day and Valentines Day if you celebrated.

London Fashion Week AW13 Felder Felder

I would love to be there in person, but I'm not. I am watching the shows online and I thought I would share some of my favourite looks from the shows I watch and share my opinions on the looks and upcoming trends. I love the rich burgundy used here it's a beautiful shade and would look gorgeous on nails too. From this show some key trends are going to be; obviously burgundy, along with black and navy, classic tailoring and structured silhouettes. My favourite item from the whole show has to be the burgundy jumper dress in the second picture. I want it now!

London Fashion Week AW13 Zoe Jordan

I would love to be there in person, but I'm not. I am watching the shows online and I thought I would share some of my favourite looks from the shows I watch and share my opinions on the looks and upcoming trends. The first show of the day was Zoe Jordan. From this show Autumn/Winter 2013-14 is going to be all about the monochrome with a pop of colour. I love the brights used - pink and orange. Other trends include masculine tailoring and oversized everything, from tops, to trousers, to coats. Here are my six favourite looks from the show. I especially love the monochrome dress with the turtle neck.

MUA Mosaic Blusher in English Rose - Review

I've had this product since Autumn 2012 and I'm only just getting round to reviewing it as I honestly don't really use it. I must admit I was drawn to this product for it's beauty and it's price tag. This is the first and only mosaic product that I own but I love the idea of them. I would love to try a high end mosaic product. MUA also make a mosaic bronzer which I have almost picked up in Superdrug several times but I just cannot tell which shade would be best for my skin tone.

The blusher contains pink, peach and lilac shades, which is meant to be mixed together. I use my Real Techniques Blush Brush to apply the blusher. On my skin tone it leaves a subtle light pink glow which is suitable for everyday but I like more of a pop on my cheeks in the evening. Also this blush is very shimmery, which I don't really like on the apples of my cheeks. Therefore, I use it on the top of my cheekbones as a highlighter rather than a blush. For this job it's perfect and maybe should be advertised as a highlighter rather than a blusher. Although my skin tone is pretty fair, I wouldn't describe it as English Rose. If you have a darker skin tone I'm not sure the blush would show up at all. The packaging is the usual offerings from MUA - black and transparent. It's sturdy and I think would be suitable in your make up bag or clutch bag to top up your blush/highlighter on a night out.

Have you used mosaic blushers or bronzers? Have you tried MUA's versions?

Week 6

Jayne Eyre, Chicken soup, New jumper and necklaces, Nail Polish, Benefit Hoola bronzer, Painted nails, Burning candle, Creme De La Mer, Sunday afternoon reading, Hot chocolate, Hay Day addiction, CSI.

Hello!

I hope you've had another amazing week. Another week that has flown by. I've been ill this week. It started as a cold and then I got this horrendous cough. I went to the doctors and I was given antibiotics for a chest infection. I'm feeling a lot better now but this cough is driving me insane and keeping me awake in the night, which is not good for my beauty sleep!

I'm off work for a week now as it's half term. Yay! However, I have lots of house work to do and I want to start decorating but I'm not sure painting is the best thing for a cough. Plus it's too cold to have the windows open! I cannot wait until we have warmer weather! I live for summer!

If you want to follow me on Instagram, I am lostinlipstick. Please leave your Instagram name below if you're on there. I love finding new people to follow.

What have you been up to this week?

Mini Haul #3

I haven't done a haul post since October, yet I feel I've spent so much money on make up and beauty products! These are the products I have bought over the past month or so. I think I'm going to keep track of the beauty products that I buy and jot them down in a notebook. I'm trying to not spend as much on things I don't need as lately (thanks to blogging) I have spent a fortune on things I want! I still have a massive list of things I want! Reading blog posts and watching YouTube videos on new products, monthly favourites and tutorials are really not helping. But I can't help it! It's what I love and really is my hobby! Blogging is an expensive hobby!
